Performative Session: Towards Solitary Sailor
The session, hosted by the theatre group Third Space, extends an invitation to participate in a discussion addressing armed conflicts, environmental and humanitarian crises, and opportunities for reimagining peace through the lens of critical hope.
The session consists of a talk by researcher Marko Lehti, a specialist in peace and conflict research, followed by a presentation and excerpt from the forthcoming production Yksinäinen purjehtija (Solitary Sailor) by Third Space group. “Solitary Sailor” (premier in February 2027) is a theatrical work on water and the world of oceans on Earth and exoplanets. It explores the state of oceans in our planet, the increasing link between freshwater resources and conflicts and crises, and the threat posed by rising sea levels to ecosystems and human communities.
The talk by Lehti is in English. The excerpt by Third Space will be partly in Finnish.
