Registration for the event 2025 opens in the spring 2025. To register you need to fill an online form and pay the participation fee.
Please make sure to give your up-to-date contact information, so we can inform you of possible changes.
In 2024, the basic registration fee is 50 €, and for students, doctoral researchers and professional artists there is a reduced price of 20 € available. By paying the registration fee, you will have access to all of the sessions and performances in the programme.
Part fo the program is free of charge and open to all, e.g. the main keynote AGORA talks.
The sessions take place at the Sibelius Museum (Piispankatu 17, Turku), unless stated otherwise.
We are striving to make Aboagora as accessible as possible. Please find further information on the accessibility of our different venues below, and don’t hesitate to be in touch with us via aboagora@utu.fi if you have any further questions.
For all registered participants, coffee/tea and small snacks will be served during coffee breaks in the Sibelius Museum atrium (or indoors, if it rains).
The event will not be livestreamed.
The three keynote (AGORA) sessions will be recorded and some of the recordings will be published on our YouTube channel after the event. Other sessions will not be recorded.
The event will be photographed and the photos will be used for ABOAGORA’s marketing and communication purposes both during and after the event. If you have any questions or if you wish not to be photographed, please contact us at aboagora@utu.fi.

The Sibelius Museum
- The ground level, where the ABOAGORA sessions take place, is accessible. There are small stairs as well as a ramp slope to the concert hall, where the sessions take place.
- The ground floor is accessible when moving with wheelchair, rollator or a stick. You can access the building also with a perambulator. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome in the museum.
- The Sibelius Museum is an EU Disability Card location. A personal assistant may enter free of charge.
- The museum’s lighting conditions are reduced for the purposes of object preservation.
- The toilets are located on the ground floor, to the left from the main entrance. The museum has an accessible toilet.
- For more information, see the Sibelius Museum website.
Luostarin välikatu
- Luostarin Välikatu is a relatively narrow alleyway, which is paved with cobblestone. Unfortunately, the location is not accessible when moving with wheelchair or rollator.
- The event takes place outdoors.
Kurjenkaivonkenttä / Tranebrunnsplan
- For viewing the virtual monument you need a smart telephone and headphones.
- The virtual monument is placed outdoors on a grassy, rather steep hill and viewing the installation requires the viewer to stand next to the virtual monument. Unfortunately, the location is not accessible when moving with wheelchair or rollator.
