Evening Session
Wednesday evening session offers an invitation to the explorations into the realm of Venus. First, Ida-Marie Corell gives an audiovisual performance of her work on Venus, and after artists Pia Palme, Satu Hakamäki and Elie Halonen will share their 30-minute performative ecology. It all will be followed by a discussion with the audience.
Opening Ceremony
We officially open ABOAGORA 2025 with opening remarks, Venusmusic by Mareike Dobewall, and a showcase of the virtual part of the immersive installation "The Layers of the Peace Machine"; "Layer of Sharing".

ABOAGORA-tapahtuman varaslähdössä Kuralan Kylämäessä 5. kesäkuuta kohotetaan malja syyskuisen Venus, the Bringer of Peace -tapahtuman ohjelman julkistuksen kunniaksi. Illan aikana tutustutaan rakkauden jumalatar Venukseen sukupuolen- ja historiantutkija Riikka Taavetin sekä kansanmuusikoiden Kuisma Asikaisen ja Paula Raitasen johdolla.

The ABOAGORA Retreat VIII: Repairing for Peace invites MA Arts Students and Doctoral Researchers in the arts, humanities, and sciences to imagine peace at the time of accelerating militarisation. What kind of peace is promised by the securitisation of all aspects of everyday life? How to repair relations needed for peace as something other than a transactional, compromised or predetermined contract? The Retreat takes place September 7–9 on the island of Seili in the Turku archipelago.

The three-day science and art event Aboagora will take place in the last week of August under the theme Mars, bringer of war. This year's headliners include Swedish writer-journalist Thella Johnson, known for her Finland-connections. The Mars -theme opens a new seven-year Planets theme season.
Program change in ABOAGORA 2024
Due to a force majeure, Professor Manfred Nowak will be unable to attend ABOAGORA 2024. In his place, the Agora keynote on 29 August will be delivered by Professor KoenDe Feyter, Professor of Public International Law at the University of Antwerp.
