The ABOAGORA Retreat VII: De/Colonial Present invites MA Arts Students and Doctoral Candidates in the arts, humanities, and sciences to reflect together on how the living legacies of colonial histories play a role in the conflicts raging today and, on the other hand, how decolonial practices propose alternative ways out of these battles over territories and words, resources and rights. The Retreat takes place August 25–27 on the island of Seili in the Turku archipelago.
Aboagora etsii projektitutkijaa!
Turun yliopiston historian, kulttuurin ja taiteiden tutkimuksen laitoksessa on haettavana Aboagoran projektitutkijan määrä- ja osa-aikainen (75 %) työsopimussuhteinen tehtävä ajalle 1.2.2024–31.12.2028. Työ jatkuu mahdollisesti myös vuosina 2029 ja 2030.

Pääpuhujia Sibelius-museossa 24.–26.8.2022 järjestettävässä tapahtumassa ovat fysiikan professori Andrew Coates (kuvassa), taiteilija ja aktivisti Joan Sullivan sekä taidehistorioitsija Hanna Johansson. Ohjelman pääpuheenvuorot ovat maksuttomia ja avoimia kaikille.
