ABOAGORA 2018 was held at the Sibelius Museum in Turku on August 22–24. The Symposium analysed different perspectives, utopian as well as dystopian, on the future and how the legacies of past generations lay claims on and model the possibilities of coming generations.

ABOAGORA 2017 was held on August 23-25 at the Sibelius Museum in Turku. Via art and various academic disciplines, the Symposium discussed the significance of “becoming,” the idea of incompleteness and being in the making with reference to humanist, scientific, economic, and social aspects.

ABOAGORA 2016 was held on June 15-17 at the Sibelius Museum in Turku. The symposium explored the ways in which agency is understood in relation to the past. What possibilities do we have in our lives and how are we bound by the past?

The theme for ABOAGORA 2015, held on August 11-13 at the Sibelius Museum, was “Precious Moments, Extreme Events.” Under this theme, the Symposium addressed questions of time, changes in society, and significant and extreme events in the course of individuals’ lives and the history of humanity.

Aboagora 2014, organised at the Sibelius Museum on August 11-13, discussed the multiple understandings of “chaos” and “cosmos”.
